Is your slope or retaining wall failing?

These are some of the signs that a slope or retaining wall is failing:

  • Are there any horizontal cracks in the soil or pavement along the top of the slope/wall?
  • Is there any bulging of soil a few feet from the toe of the slope/wall?
  • Are there trees or vegetation leaning near the slope/wall?
  • Are any retaining wall blocks cracking?

WDP can investigate these failures with a subsurface investigation that may include soil borings, inclinometer installation and monitoring, monitoring wells, and laboratory testing.
